From the cover: The evolution of the Daimler bus from the early days of this century up to the present time is illustrated in the pages of this book. During the 1930s Daimler became one of the principal suppliers of buses to urban operators in Britain, a position which it held in the following decades and consolidated in the 1960s with its Fleetline model. Abroad, Daimler buses have provided transport for citizens of Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Portugal and South Africa, to name but a few. Daimler Buses in Camera contains a representative selection of photographs of these vehicles from all periods and many operators.
This book was first published in 1978 and statements made then were current. Many of these may well have been overtaken by subsequent events.
