It is the story of how a few of those evacs found themselves in the Radstock area of the West Country among folk, whose unlimited kindness and generosity, while shielding us from most of the horror of those years, made growing up such a happy, unforgettable experience.
To the adults and children who accompanied us on that journey who are not mentioned by name in this story, I assure you that you have not, nor will you ever be, forgotten.
