From the cover: In an age when more and more people drive to their desks on wheels, physical fitness has* become an almost universal problem. The need for exercise is felt, but we do not all have the time, the taste, or the facilities for organized games.
With this kind of situation in mind, the Royal Canadian Air Force developed its now famous Plans 5BX and XBX for men and women. The basic exercises, which are clearly detailed with diagrams in this book, can be performed without any special equipment in the most confined space. They can be completed daily in eleven or twelve minutes without any danger of exhaustion since the advance to fitness has been gently graded.
These exercise plans do appear to offer a practicable answer with no Olympic standards of training in view -to the modern problem of getting fit, feeling fit, and keeping fit, in a mechanized age.
The permission of the Royal Canadian Air Force for making the text of this training pamphlet available is gratefully acknowledged.
