From the cover: During World War II Mary Denyer and her 11-year old son, John, lived in a small, thatched cottage in Freewood, Suffolk. Small damp mark to the upper board with slight offset to the reverse of the dust wrapper. Edges of the text block lightly tanned. Text complete, clean and tight.
