First in this, paperback, edition. From the cover: Much of the literature on social and educational research is concerned with the design, collection and analysis of research data. While many works focus on technical procedures, they avoid ethical questions about the conduct of social investigation. It is this gap in the literature that The Ethics of Educational Research is intended to fill.
Each chapter makes a contribution to the discussion of the ethics of educational research in general. Accordingly, part one provides accounts of the ethical issues involved in a range of research methods, while part two provides examples of the ethical issues that researchers encounter in particular projects or fields of study devoted to education. In this respect, the chapters locate discussions of ethical principles in research experience.
