While it is appreciated that the vehicle is the main subject, much can also be learned from the backgrounds of the photographs; the dress of the population of the day, the houses, streets, and above all the poor roads that existed during the first part of this century. The evolution of the steam wagon in pictures would aptly describe this fascinating collection of pictures.
